Privacy notice
This policy explains how ACCUDY ("ACCUDY", "we") uses personal information on accudy.com, apps.accudy.com, our sign-up and sign-in pages, our back office and our apps. To ask about your information, email privacy@accudy.com.
Two roles
For people who visit our websites, sign up or work in a store's back office, we decide how information is used and are responsible for it (controller).
For a store's own customers, the store is responsible and we process that information only on the store's instructions, to run its tills, website and orders (processor). If you are a store's customer, the store's own privacy policy applies, so please contact the store first.
What we collect
Account details: name, email address, phone number, the store you work for and your role.
Billing details: the business name, address, VAT number and a reference to the card held by our payment provider. We never store full card numbers.
How you use ACCUDY: sign-ins, devices, actions in the back office (kept in an audit log for security) and support messages.
Website visits: pages viewed and, only with your consent, analytics cookies.
How we use it
To provide the service you signed up for and bill for it (contract).
To keep accounts and stores secure, prevent fraud and meet legal duties such as tax and record keeping (legal obligation and legitimate interests).
To improve ACCUDY and tell you about changes to the service (legitimate interests).
To send marketing, only with your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
Providers who help us run ACCUDY, under contracts that protect your information: cloud hosting, payment processing, email and text message delivery, and customer support tools. Where information leaves the UK or European Economic Area we use recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We share information when the law requires it. We never sell personal information.
Assistants and automated features
Some features use automated assistants to draft text or answer questions. They act on the information you give them and the store's own data, only for that store, and are not used to make decisions with legal effects about you.
How long we keep it
Account information is kept while the account is open and for up to six years after, for legal and accounting reasons. Security logs are kept for up to two years. A store can export or erase its customers' information at any time from its back office.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, and move it to another service. To do this, email privacy@accudy.com. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Changes
We will post any change on this page and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email.
