IDC predicts that by 2020, half of all retailers will have adopted a retail omnichannel eCommerce platform, and as a result will reap up to 40% increase in profitability. This is thanks to higher revenues, reduction in total cost of ownership (TCO), inventory costs, operational costs and promotional pressure.
